Kumbalangi is a typical fishing village located southwest of Kochi. This island is surrounded by backwaters and is famous for its Chinese fishing nets. Groves of mangroves separate the land from water and provide a good breeding ground for prawns, crabs, oysters and small fish. A visit to Kumbalangi gives an insight into the life of toddy tappers, fishermen, coir-making industries and much more. Kumbalangi is selected as Model Tourism Village by Kerala Government. This model village helps locals to make a living out of tourism and simultaneously ensuring that tourists have a good time seeing and experiencing real village life. Here, Travellers can walk through the village, watch fishermen at work, fish themselves, go canoeing and visit the farms. Kalagraamam, an artists’ village, is also being set up here to showcase the traditional fishing equipments and handicrafts of the region.

Tour Itinerary
Day 01:
Pick up from Cochin Airport/Ernakulam Railway Station
Check in into a hotel and the rest of the day in the hotel.
Day 02:
Breakfast at hotel by 08:30. After breakfast you will be
guided to Kumbalangi village where you can see the beauty of
Kumbalangi from the Kandakkadavu view point. After a walk on
Angilithara road, will ride to Kallanchery island where you can do
the canoeing on the beautiful lake with lots of Chinese fishing nets. After lunch and rest, we will go to Puthenthodu beach and
until sunset will spend there and back to the hotel.
Day 03:
Breakfast at hotel by 08:30. And sight-seeing will be starting from
09:00 Am. The Guide will come to the hotel lobby and take you to
second day activities.
Morning we will drive to Mattanchery where you will explore
Portuguese built a palace (Dutch Palace), Jews Street and Jew
Synagogue. On the way back will visit Jain temple which is built
by Gujarati Jain community in Kochin. After lunch will visit old
Santa Cruz Basilica, St Francis church, Dutch cemetery. After
spending time walking in Fort Kochi old streets, we will relax in
Fort Kochi beach until sunset.
Day 04:
Breakfast at hotel 08;30 and leisure time until checkout. Airport drop by 12 PM
